What Do People Actually Like?

If I had a dollar for every time I asked myself, "What do people actually like?"... I'd probably have enough money to buy a few more shirts from my own store.

The funny part is, I know what I like.

I've already bought a handful of my own designs just to see how the printing process works. If I'm going to sell something, I want to know exactly what my customers are getting. The good news? Everything has shown up in about a week, and the quality has been better than I expected.

Of course, after getting them, I immediately found things I wanted to change.

"That graphic could be a little bigger.

""Maybe that font should be bolder.

""That color looked better on my computer."

I guess that's the curse of being the designer. Nothing is ever completely finished!

I've even gotten a few likes and favorites on my shop, which tells me people are at least stopping by. That's encouraging.

Now I just need someone brave enough to be Customer #1.

I think that's one of the hardest parts of starting something new. People don't know your brand yet. It's kind of like walking into an empty restaurant. The food might be amazing, but everyone waits for someone else to sit down first.

So if you're waiting for someone else to buy first... they're probably waiting for you.

In the meantime, I'll keep making designs that make me laugh, keep tweaking the ones I already have, and keep learning what works and what doesn't.

Who knows? The next design might be the one that makes someone say, "I need that!"

Until then, I'll just keep chuckling... because worrying never sold a T-shirt.
